What do we mean by accessibility, well my person view is that accessibility is allowing everyone to use/benefit from something on equal terms. One example which you might not think of is, did you know that not all places that show/rent/sell the same films include subtitles? Exactly the same film, but subtitles aren’t always given as an option. For example I wanted to purchase a box set of a film series online (naming no names here) but…… the box set – which was cheaper than buying the individual films, didn’t include subtitles – whereas the more expensive option of purchasing each film individually, did have subtitles provided. This would in my mind be an example of not being accessible, as it means deaf people have to pay extra to enjoy the same experience.
