Poem: Wheeling along

Wheeling along a footpath,
The sun shining down so bright,
Feeling the breeze on your face,
Gives you a feeling of delight.

The tires hum over the path,
As you glide along with ease,
Passing by blooming flowers,
And rustling leaves on the trees.

The rhythmic sound of the wheels,
Is like music to your ears,
And the sights along the way,
Bring happiness beyond compare.

So keep on rolling down the path,
And enjoy each and every mile,
For there’s nothing quite as wonderful,
As wheeling along in style!

Diving into The Evolutionary History of Whales

Advertisements

I have always liked whales, and used as a teenager to collect anything whale or dolphin related such as ornaments, or jewellery. There are plenty of whale and dolphin themed gift ideas here https://amzn.to/3Zwhply

Whales are magnificent creatures that traverse the vast expanse of the world’s oceans, communicating through intricate and enigmatic sounds. Their sheer size is awe-inspiring, leaving me in wonderment.

If you also love these enormous yet graceful animals, then you may well be interested to read this article: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/press-office/press-releases/new-research-using-fossils-of-whale-ancestors-reveals-their-path.html

Poem – The train rumbles along

Advertisements

The train rumbles along
Fleet off the hot and delicate flying,
Hopped on a young young hillside,
Painted the morning with a power;
Shadows of time say my present reason,
Stewards of the richest form;
Build the own cabin with the throne;
Gloom and the weather I push with night

Tattoo, or not to Tattoo….

What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?

Personally, tattoos are not my thing. I appreciate them on other people and can definitely see how they can hold great personal significance for someone, but when it comes to my own body, I just can’t imagine permanently marking myself in that way.

For one thing, the idea of being stuck with a design for the rest of my life is a bit daunting. Plus, while there are certainly skilled tattoo artists out there who do amazing work, there’s always a risk of something going wrong or the design not coming out quite the way you imagined.

Finally, as much as I don’t like to place too much importance on what others might think of me, there’s still a little voice in my head that worries about how tattoos could affect general social interactions.

All that being said though, I’ve still got mad respect for anyone who chooses to get inked – it takes guts and commitment!

Joyful Scents.

Oh, I absolutely adore Joy by Dior! It’s been my go-to fragrance for years now. The scent is a perfect balance of floral and fruity notes, with hints of jasmine, rose, bergamot, mandarin, and patchouli. It’s not too overpowering but lasts for hours on end, leaving me feeling refreshed & feminine throughout the day. Plus, the elegant bottle design fits perfectly on my vanity or in my purse for on-the-go touch-ups. If you want to find out more, have a look on here https://amzn.to/3ZUWEkM

Do you have a favourite perfume? I’m always on the lookout to try new scents!

A summers breeze

Advertisements

A summers breeze
To speak the bright heart with its desire:
Light of a fickle sun,
Loom blue water, secret light,
Dazzled turquoise life with wings,
Young I was the cloud to the wind,
Tremble, tremulous leaves of the wind,
Her voice, and the bright north wind
Alone in a speech for my shimmering body,
Young April hushed the happy tune,

Insta-Dri Nail polish.

I don’t often wear nail polish, to be honest I am not brilliant at putting it on, usually I end up smudging it before it has dried.

When I went to the Disabled Citizens Inquiry launch, however, I though I should make the effort. Having had a browse for colours to go with the outfit I was planning to wear, I came across a make I’d not come across before. I did say I don’t wear it often! This looked a gorgeous colour and claimed to dry really quickly – less chance of me managing to smudge it I thought, and the price was good too, so I decided to buy it and see what it was like.

Well, it was so easy to apply, some nail varnishes are incredibly runny, whilst others can be thick and awkward to put on. This glided on with ease, dried really quickly and lastedt ages without marking or starting to look tatty. Definitely on my list of future purchases, there are loads of other colours I want to try!!

  • Formulated with a base and top coat
  • Quick drying in just 60 seconds
  • Up to 33 Percent longer hold, with chip protection
  • Streak-free application, the brush contours for a smooth finish
  • 1 Stroke-1 Coat-Done

If you fancy trying it too, have a look on here where there’s loads of different colours to choose from. https://amzn.to/3Jp5XlK

Seeds of hope.

Growing seeds is our way of showing hope and faith that the better weather will come soon.

One lone seed has grown here Photo by Gelgas Airlangga on Pexels.com

Look what I found today, I’ll be planting them as soon as the weather improves just a little more. They should hopefully add a bit of colour to the world outside and help create a little haven for butterflies as well.
