What is art?

There are so many different styles and types of art, all requiring different media whether it be ink, paint, chalks, a camera, metal and so many other options to choose from.

Everyone likes different things, so it may take a while to find something that you enjoy creating, or that pleases your eye. No choice is wrong unless someone or something is hurt in the process.

I love taking photos, so photography would be my choice of art to display personally. You probably prefer something else.

I don’t agree that there’s good art or bad, it just depends what resonates with the viewer.

I enjoy being creative, it is a way to be mindful and relax, a way to express yourself freely whilst being productive.

Ways in which I am creative are, papercrafts, and photography. I have always enjoyed making/creating things, and photography is also an amazing way to ‘capture the moment’.

I did G.C.S.E photography and loved it, but really do need to get back out taking more photos again – so I think that needs to be a resolution for 2023.

My Mum also enjoys being creative, and my Dad was amazing working with his hands for his job, and doing stuff around the house and garden too. Creativity is definitely a trait I have inherited from them both.
